Can I get a book or article from another library?

Note: This FAQ is for students, faculty, and staff in the law school’s residential program. Students, faculty, and staff in online programs should request books and articles through the Jerry Falwell Library.

If you need a book, chapter, or article that is not available through the Ehrhorn Law Library, we can generally obtain it from one of the many libraries in our network. Individual articles and chapters are usually delivered in digital form. Books are delivered by mail to the law library, typically within 7–10 days; loan terms are set by the lending library. If you return a borrowed item late or in damaged condition, or if you fail to return it, you will be charged for any fines or other fees assessed by the lending library.
